going to put a little face there but I can't decide whether to do a :) or a :( I think it would have to be both. It has been a busy year, lots of moves, two new jobs for Steve and the arrival of Toby. It is pretty amazing that Beth has only
turned into a partial terror rather than a total terror! It is certainly wonderful to be close to family and able to see them and other friends more often but we most definitely miss a lot of things about SoCal. The number of times this year we would
have loved to indulge in an In N Out or gone for breakfast at Woodies or Hofs Hut. We also realise how many things we took for granted - Disneyland being less than 30 minutes away, shops being open past 5pm, lots of parks all really close, the beach being right there (and the sun being out!). But most of all we miss our friends.

Wow! It's been a year already?! Here I was thinking where did January go? Well, we must be having fun if time is flying so fast. Congrats, I guess.
Oh geez. I'm not a cryer, but I definitely felt some tears with this post. Not only do I miss you and your family a lot, but I also miss many of the things you mentioned about CA! Granted, we're still in a big US city so we've got stores that are open past 5 pm but now with two children, I'm so spent by 5 that I don't even CARE if they're open because there's no way I'm going to venture out! We didn't go to Disneyland much while we were in CA but knowing that we would have bought a pass this year with Nathan old enough to enjoy it makes me sad about that, too! Oh well, maybe we'll go back for a visit....someday
