Cheeky Post

Just a quick post while Toby's napping. Had a lovely weekend with family - no pictures as I forgot and the camera stayed buried at the bottom of the bag. I'm also 'off' taking photos as there is something stuck in the lens and it makes a cloud on the photos. Took it to a camera shop and it seems it will cost at least £100 to get a quote and to fix it. Since it's four or five years old I think we may just treat ourselves to a new one.

Anyway, the cheeky title of the post is because I'm going to try and hit you all up for some money. Not for a new camera (though who am I to dictate how you spend your money) but for sponsorship. This coming Sunday (Sept 26th), I'm running the Clumber Park 10k along with a few other mums to raise money for the pre-school. Click here for a link to the website with info about the race.

Unfortunately we haven't got an online way to donate money; most were a bit too expensive for us since we don't raise that much money to start with! Any donation would be gratefully received.

I'm a bit nervous as it's the first race I've done in at least 10 years (possibly closer to 20) but it should be good fun - hopefully I'll do it in under an hour. If not I'll just have to do another one! :)

Why don't you set up a PayPal account at paypal.com? People can donate by linking to your email. Although, they'd need to have an account as well. It's free to sign up although, I think they take a small cut of every transaction. I want to say 2%. But it goes into your PayPal account and then you can deposit that into your bank account. You'd be amazed how much you can raise. When I did my ride I made the minimum goal of $250 and I think I ended making over $2500. Good luck.
